Tea Dance

We hold a Tea Dance on special occasions at the Community Centre. It starts at 2.00 and finishes at 5.00 and we have an interval during the afternoon, where everybody is served to tea, in china cups and saucers, and home-made cakes.

Nobody is pressurised into dancing, it is alright if you just want to sit and have a chat with friends. All types of music for dancing is played, waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, cha-cha-cha, rumba, sequence dances and line dancing, so, hopefully, everyone who wants to dance is accommodated. Even the Vicar has a go!!!

The people who run the kitchen and play the music are all volunteers and give generously of their time. All proceeds from the afternoon go towards the fundraising at St Paul’s Church.

What proceeds, you ask? We do charge an entry price of £5.00 per person.

Keep an eye out for the announcement of our next Tea Dance, and why not come along and give it a try!
